This image shows how colour, to me, can perceive happiness and security even though something could be looming in the near future.

I have decided to use this image on the cover of my pamphlet as it captures the essence of what I am trying to get across in my project.

This up to 1000 years old snow has metamorphosed into highly pressurized glacier ice that contains almost no air bubbles. Thus it absorbs the visible light despite the scattered shortest blue fraction, giving it its distinct deep blue waved appearance. This cavity in the glacier ice formed as a result of a glacial mill, or moulin.

Rain and meltwater on the glacier surface is channelled into streams that enter the glacier at crevices. The waterfall melts a hole into the glacier while the ponded water drains towards lower elevations by forming long ice caves with an outlet at the terminus of the glacier. The fine grained sediments in the water along with wind blown sediments cause the frozen meltwater stream to appear in a muddy colour while the top of the cave exhibits the deep blue colour.

Due to the fast movement of the glacier of about 1 m per day over uneven terrain this ice cave cracked up at its end into a deep vertical crevice, called cerrac. This causes the indirect daylight to enter the ice cave from both ends resulting in homogeneous lighting of the ice tunnel.

THIS GLACIER SHOWS AMAZING COLOUR WHICH GIVES THE FEELING OF A CALM AND COOL HAVEN. THE AIR BUBBLES THAT FORM THE TEXTURE MAKE THE PICTURE EXTRA AMAZING AND IS JUST ANOTHER WAY OF HOW COLOUR CAN AFFECT HOW WE FEEL!*

I am putting together the final piece at the moment. I am trying to find an image to display on the cover of the pamphlet and also on the inside. I hope that I find one soon!

This image uses colour in a very interesting way. The colour used is used to represent the season and is targeting a particular audience. This image does all these things very well and is only so good because of the use of colour. The background has been dimmed and faded adding to the intensity of Emma’s clothes and adding to the beauty of the picture. This is how colour can be used at selling point.

The website I have found also explores the different colours that represent different people. It is actually quite interesting!
